NFL Picks for Bets and Contests
The NFL Divisional playoff games last week did not disappoint. The first game between Houston and Baltimore was the only blowout of the weekend. San Francisco scored a touchdown with 1:07 remaining in the game to take the lead and get the win. Buffalo had a chance to tie the game and potentially force overtime, but BUF kicker Bass missed the kick wide right. And while the TB/DET game did feel lopsided, somehow TB was able to stay close enough to only lose by a single score.
The head coaching carousel was very active this week with the Chargers, Panthers, Titans and Falcons all getting their new man in charge. The curious non-hire would be Belichick with the Falcons, and now with only Seattle and Washington with openings, I wonder if Belichick will sit out this season. I always suspected Washington as a sleeper candidate for Belichick because he’s spent considerable amount of time in that area while growing up. There haven’t been many mentions or connections between Washington and Belichick, I truly suspect they are waiting for Ben Johnson, but maybe Bill ends up here instead.
