2025 NFL Mock Draft

The 2025 NFL draft is a little more than a week away. After the fun of last years mock draft, I decided to do it again this season. I probably had too many trades in my second version last year, but I only came up with 1 trade this year. I just don’t anticipate teams moving around that much with the balance in players available. I did include 1 trade, because I think the Bears are dumb and will continue to do dumb Bear like things.

Round 1

1. Tennessee Titans

Cam Ward, QB, miami (fl)

The Titans have been telegraphing this selection for a while now. Ward should help make the Titans better almost immediately after the terrible decision making of Levis last season.

2. Cleveland Browns

Travis Hunter, cb/wr, colorado

The Browns traded for QB Pickett and recently signed veteran Flacco, and while I do expect them to take a QB in this draft, it won’t be with the 2nd pick. Instead the Browns take that other player from Colorado that can help on both sides of the ball. And with as much money/cap space locked into QB Watson, who doesn’t seem to be part of future plans, the Browns need as much roster versatility as possible.

3. New York Giants

abdul carter, edge, Penn state

Like Cleveland, the Giants have been busy acquiring QBs this offseason, and will probably take a QB later in the draft. The Giants grab an edge rusher in Carter to pair with last seasons big acquisition, Brian Burns.

4. New England Patriots

Mason graham, DT, Michigan

Its easy to project an offensive lineman to the Patriots here, but 4th is too high to draft an OL that is ranked 10th on most big boards. If New England can’t find a trading partner to slide back in the draft a few spots, look for them to bolster the d-line further with this pick.

5. Jacksonville Jaguars

tyler warren, te, penn state

Evan Engram left in free agency, and QB Lawrence could use as many capable targets as possible. Jacksonville could spend another top-10 pick on a defensive player, or it can grab a game changer on offense. I’ll go with offense.

6. Las Vegas Raiders

Shedeur Sanders, qb, Colorado

Yes, LV traded for QB Smith and signed him to an extension, but new minority owner Brady says its good for a QB to sit and develop. That opens the door for Las Vegas to copy the Atlanta Falcons playbook from last years draft, and secure the QB position not just for now but the future too.

7. New York Jets

jalon walker, edge, georgia

The Jets can go in a lot of different directions with so many holes on the roster. In this case, they take the best player available.

8. Carolina Panthers

*****trade*****

The Chicago/Carolina front offices make another deal

8. Chicago Bears

ashton jeanty, rb, boise state

The smart move for the Bears would be to get a tackle to continue the o-line overhaul, but in this case, Jeanty is too good to pass up. After sliding past the Raiders at 6, the Bears trade up to get the all everything back that could help take a lot of pressure off of QB Williams.

9. New Orleans Saints

will campbell, ot, LSu

Unable to pull off a deal to move up to get QB Sanders, the Saints stay still and get the best offensive lineman in the draft. Whoever ends up playing QB for the Saints needs to stay healthy, and Campbell will go a long way to helping with that.

10. Chicago Bears

*****trade*****

10. Carolina Panthers

Mykel Williams, edge, georgia

After trading back a few spots from #8, the Panthers still get the d-line help they were seeking. The Panthers could use a little extra pressure from the edge, and Williams will help.

11. San Francisco 49ers

armand membou, ot, missouri

I expect San Francisco to use their first round pick on a player in the trenches, with the run on d-line already taking place, the 49ers go the offensive route with this pick.

12. Dallas Cowboys

omarion hampton, rb, north carolina

After watching Dowdle leave in free agency, the Cowboys get a rookie running back they can lean on.

13. Miami Dolphins

will johnson, cb, michigan

The Dolphins are hosting trade talks on CB Ramsey, so their is potentially a large hole to fill on the defense either this year or next. Might as well get the replacement now.

14. Indianapolis Colts

colston loveland, te, michigan

Not sure if Jones or Richardson will be the starting QB, but whoever it is, they could use a reliable target underneath. Even with the recent resigning of Mo Alie-Cox, the Colts can use an upgrade at TE.

15. Atlanta Falcons

jahdae barron, cb, texas

Owner Arthur Blank said the Falcons can go defense with entire draft, and they get it started with the 2nd CB off the board.

16. Arizona Cardinals

tetairoa mcmillan, wr, Arizona

Despite taking WR Harrison Jr last year with the 4th pick, Arizona could use another playmaker at WR. Another receiving threat to go with Harrison Jr, McBride and Wilson will keep teams from rolling coverage to Harrison Jr.

17. Cincinnati Bengals

james pearce jr, edge, tennessee

The Bengals just spent a lot of money signing QB Burrow and WR’s Chase and Higgins to long term extensions. Doesn’t leave much money to pay Hendrickson, so the Bengals grab the replacement now.

18. Seattle Seahawks

shemar steward, edge, texas A&M

The Seahawks overhauled the offensive side of the ball so far in free agency. Now they get a pass rusher to help the defense.

19. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

nick emmanwori, s, south carolina

Tampa looks to solidify for the secondary with the best safety in the draft.

20. Denver Broncos

kelvin banks jr, ot, texas

Denver signed TE Engram to be the joker in head coach Paytons offense. He will help 2nd year QB Nix take another step forward. Additional help on the offensive line would also be nice for Nix, and the Broncos get that with this pick.

21. Pittsburgh Steelers

derrick harmon, dt, oregon

Yes, the Steelers need a QB. No, this is not the spot to pick that player. Without a trading partner to slide back, the Steelers grab a solid anchor on the defensive line.

22. Los Angeles Chargers

Tyler booker, iol, alabama

The Chargers continue to upgrade the offensive line after using the number 5 pick on an OT last year.

23. Green Bay Packers

jihaad campbell, lb, alabama

The Packers look to help the defense with the first LB taken off the board.

24. Minnesota Vikings

matthew golden, wr, texas

The Vikings get another offensive weapon, this one with experience playing from the slot.

25. Houston Texans

emeka egbuka, wr, ohio state

WR Diggs is gone and Dell is hurt to start the season. Yes, the Texans signed Kirk, but he has his own injuries they need to worry about. Egbuka provides insurance for this year and a running mate for Collins in the future.

26. Los Angeles Rams

jaxson dart, qb, ole miss

The Rams grab an understudy for Stafford for 2025, and the starter for 2026.

27. Baltimore Ravens

donovan ezeiruaku, edge, boston college

The Ravens draft smart, and never reach for a player of need. In fact, they build the roster around avoiding need in the draft. This allows them to take best player available, and that helps them improve the pass rush this year.

28. Detroit Lions

walter nolen, dt, ole miss

Injuries to the defensive line showed how thin the Lions were. Nolen helps them with depth, and can get pressure on the opposing quarterbacks.

29. Washington Commanders

josh simmons, ot, ohio state

The Commanders drafted the franchise QB last year in Daniels. Now they need to ensure he stays protected.

30. Buffalo Bills

maxwell hairston, cb, kentucky

Buffalo grabs the guy that ran the fastest 40-yard dash at the combine. That will help match up with Tyreke Hill’s speed when the Bills play the Dolphins.

31. Kansas City Chiefs

Luther burden iii, wr, missouri

Tight End Kelce won’t play forever, and getting another weapon ready for after his retirement would be a smart idea.

32. Philadelphia Eagles

jayden higgins, wr, iowa state

Changes are happening for the Super Bowl champions, and that could be TE Goedert is on the move. Getting a 3rd receiving threat to fill that hole will be necessary.
