2023 NFL Week 12 Picks
NFL Picks for Bets and Contests
Last week started out looking very promising, cashing tickets on the early games. However, that luck didn’t continue into Sunday night or Monday night, and I ended the week going 2-3-1.
It all started to fall apart in the LAR/SEA game. When the Rams were stopped on 4th and goal, I knew I might be in trouble for that game, as they trailed at halftime and the end of the 3rd quarter. But in the 4th quarter LAR scored a TD to pull within 2, and then picked off QB Lock to get possession in SEA territory. The ensuing drive stalled though, and LAR was forced to kick a field goal to take the lead. Really needed a TD on that drive, because there was lots of time left in the game, and SEA had been moving the ball well on LAR. SEA did get within field goal territory, and when their kicker missed the field goal I screamed for joy, finally a kicker didn’t screw me over. It was a win in the contests, but a push in the cash plays and picks on the website because at the time LAR was -1, and that is how I have to grade the game. Disappointing.
Denver was trailing the entire game, and I didn’t think I had a snowballs chance in hell of covering the game, let alone DEN winning the game. Maybe if DEN would’ve scored a TD after recovering fumble on MIN’s first drive, but they had to kick a field goal and I thought it was over like LAR. But in the 4th quarter DEN got their shit together, and scored a field goal then intercepted MIN on the first play of their next drive. DEN got -1 yard on 3 plays and had to kick another field goal before letting MIN drive down and get a FG of their own. DEN wasn’t finished though, they responded on the next drive with a touchdown to take the lead 21-20, and I needed a 2-point conversion to cover. Sadly, the 2-point conversion failed, and I lost another game.
Finally on Monday night, after a hard fought battle in the rain, KC had the ball and a chance to win. KC WR Valdez-Scantling was running wide open down the middle of the field but could not bring in the reception. If MVS would’ve caught that ball, it would’ve been a TD, a KC win and most importantly a KC cover. But that’s not what happened, and I’m stuck with another losing week.
Here are 6 contest picks for week 12:
- New England -3.5
- Atlanta +1.5
- LA Rams -2.5
- Buffalo +3
- LA Chargers +3
- Chicago +3
I’m using NE, ATL, BUF and LAC on both cards, and adding LAR to 1 card and CHI to the other card I have in SuperContest, DraftKings and Circa Millions contests.
Good luck this week!
