NFL 2025 Week 6 TNF

Thursday Night Football – Contest Entry

Week 6 of the 2025 NFL season kicks off with an NFC East divisional matchup on TNF. As expected, most of the commentary is negative for both the Eagles and Giants in the media. Despite having a 4-1 record, Philadelphia Eagles fans seem worried about the state of the offense, or lack there of. Meanwhile, New York Giants fans had a bit of optimism after rookie QB Dart lead the upset of the Chargers. Then 5 turnovers and a loss to the winless Saints altered the narrative.

I don’t like to make contest selections on Thursdays. I prefer to see practice participation and injury reports from Friday. Unfortunately, the weekly card is rubbish, and I need to include a play from TNF to get 5 selections the New Mexico model likes. The New Mexico model has been a fan of the Eagles this season, and has identified them for inclusion on contest entries 4 times already this season. Despite the loss last week, I’m still 3-1 on Eagles plays. You guessed it, once again, New Mexico has flagged Philadelphia as a top 5 play this week, and I will be including the Eagles on my contest entries.

Here is a look at the contest lines for the Eagles in their week 6 matchup against the Giants.

The New Mexico model ranks the Eagles offense 6th and the defense 7th. That is good for a 6th overall ranking. The Giants are rated 25th on offense and 19th on defense. However, turnovers are a severe issue for this team. They struggle to force turnovers on defense, and give the ball away too much on offense. This results in an overall rating of 27th. Perhaps the Giants will do a better job protecting the football this week, but I wouldn’t count on it. A rookie QB against a top-10 Vic Fangio defense isn’t a good combination. Philadelphia takes advantage of a below average defense, and shows a strong offensive performance. Look for the Eagles to win big in New York.
