2023 NFL Week 7 Picks

NFL Picks for Bets and Contests

It’s crazy all the ways my picks have found to lose this season. Last week was another prime example, especially in the early games. Seattle was down 4 at halftime, got an interception to start the 2nd half, and drove down the field for 1st and goal. They threw an interception on 3rd and goal from the 18. After forcing a punt, Seattle again found themselves in 1st and goal, but needing to settle for a field goal, but now covering 13-14. After forcing another punt, QB Smith throws an INT in SEA territory allowing the Bengals to get a field goal despite gaining 0 yards, no more cover. After trading punts, Seattle drives into the red zone again, and had 1st and goal but that drive ended on a sack (the 2nd in the goal to go downs). Another CIN punt, another SEA red zone drive, and another turnover on downs. Unbelievable that an NFL team can have 4 red zone trips in 1 half and only get 3 points.

In the afternoon games, New England, is another story upon themselves. After holding LV to a field goal to start the 4th quarter, New England drove the field for a touchdown to pull within 2 points and a cover. After forcing a punt, NE had a chance to win outright, but fate had another idea. The following drive went completed pass, holding, dropped pass, delay of game, sack in end zone for a safety, and New England is now trailing by 4 and I experienced a brand new way to lose a game. A week that should’ve been 3-2 on side bets ended up 1-4. Finally, a little salt in the wounds, the SF/CLE game scored 36 points, 0.5 points OVER the total of 35.5. Just a day you can’t wait to forget.

There are 6 teams on bye this week, so only 13 games to choose from for contest play. The wind is supposed to impact multiple games on the east coast this week, so once again I’m posting some UNDER plays. Here are my 5 contest picks for week 7, and the 4 O/U bets:
